MIRA MESA SOCCER

AYSO 5U Schoolyard Program

🏫 Where Soccer Begins with Smiles, Not Scores

The AYSO Schoolyard (5U) program is designed just for 4-year-olds who are starting to play soccer. It’s all about introducing the game in a fun, low-pressure, and developmentally appropriate way.

There are no teams, no standings, and no pressure to win, just a great environment for learning, moving, and having a blast.

🧑‍🏫 Led by Professional Coaches

Our Schoolyard sessions are led by professionally trained coaches from First Touch Soccer.

These coaches:

  • Are background checked and certified

  • Have years of experience working with young children

  • Know how to create fun, structured sessions that keep this age group engaged

  • Are experts in balancing instruction with play

This partnership ensures a consistently high-quality experience for every child, every week.

🎯 Program Goals

  • Build basic soccer skills: dribbling, passing, stopping the ball

  • Improve coordination and balance through fun movement games

  • Foster teamwork, listening, and confidence

  • Spark a love of soccer through play, not competition

Our focus: Fun, not winning. Growth, not pressure.

🙌 Why Schoolyard Works

The Schoolyard program is built to support how young kids learn best, through play. With guidance from experienced coaches, kids get the structure they need and the fun they want, setting the foundation for a great soccer journey.
