Thank you for your interest in volunteering to be a referee. AYSO is run on volunteers and referees are always the most difficult position. Referees are as critical to soccer as players and coaches and our games cannot run without referees. 

Most new referees come to us with limited or no experience, so don't feel intimidated if you have a lack of knowledge. AYSO’s referee training is regarded as some of the best in the United States and includes both in-person courses and online courses. Our referee training will give you all you need to have a terrific experience on the field.

If you'd like to become a referee for the 2025 Fall Season, we are hosting a mandatory in-person training on August 16th from 1-530p at Hourglass Field. There are currently no other local referee trainings scheduled.
