Playground (kids born in 2022)

Mira Mesa AYSO Playground Soccer is specially designed for 3 year olds! This special program features Activity Leaders, certified through the AYSO National Coaching Program, who understand the needs and capabilities of 3 year olds and are sensitive to the needs and the bonding experience of the parents. All of our coaches are background checked and fingerprinted. A caregiver must remain with the child at all times. 

What is AYSO Playground?
AYSO Playground is a fun child development program to help develop, in collaboration with the parent or guardian, the child’s fundamental motor skills using soccer as a common thread. It keeps toddlers engaged and families often make friends with other Mira Mesa families during the program.

What is the cost and how long is the program?
The 3 year old program costs $80 during early registration and $105 during regular registration for 10 sessions during the Fall and 8 sessions during the Spring (once per week during Season, $8-$10.50/ session)

Where will my child play?
Our 3 year old sessions are held at Hourglass or Wangenheim Fields right off of Black Mountain Road. The playing area is based on small “activity grids.”

How long are AYSO Playground sessions?
The sessions should be no more than 60 minutes at a time (including rests and breaks).

Is there competition in AYSO Playground?
There is no competition in AYSO Playground Soccer! The goal of AYSO Playground is to allow kids to develop fundamental motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and social interaction in a fun and safe AYSO environment. Children get to gradually discover the game for themselves while bonding with parents or guardians.
