Game Day Field Map & Sideline Guide

🗺️ Field Layout

  • Fields 1–5 are located on the main grass area.

    • Field 1 & 2: 7v7 format

    • Field 3 & 4: 9v9 format

    • Field 5: 11v11 full field

  • Fields 8–10: Smaller fields on the east side near Black Mountain Road, used for U8 games.

  • U6 games are played closer to field 4 on most weekends.

  • Volunteer Tent & Restrooms: Located near Field 1.

  • Picture Day Staging Area: Beside Field 2.

  • Parking: Free parking is available across the street at Miramar College. Please use the crosswalk at Miramar Drive to enter safely.

🪑 Team & Spectator Seating

Each field has designated sides for teams and their spectators:

  • Home Team: Sits on the side labeled “Home Team / Spectators.”

  • Away Team: Sits on the side labeled “Away Team / Spectators.”

  • Spectators must sit on the same side as their team, staying to the LEFT of the technical area only . Please do not sit on the right of the technical box as it interferes with the ARs.

  • No one should stand or sit behind the goals or on the assistant referee’s side of the field.

🟦 The Technical Box (Coach Area)

The middle of the Technical Box aligns with the halfway line where only coaches, players and AYSO Verified volunteers are allowed during play.

  • Only verified AYSO volunteers (registered and background-checked) may sit or stand in the technical area.

  • The coach must remain inside this technical area for the duration of the match.

  • Coaches are not permitted to walk up and down the sideline or beyond the box.

  • The technical box ensures fairness, safety, and a professional sideline environment for all players.

If a coach or assistant steps outside the box, referees may issue a verbal warning or, if needed, request intervention from the Field Marshal.

👷‍♂️ Volunteer & Info Tent

Our Volunteer Tent can help with:

  • Game schedules

  • Lost and found

  • First aid and safety concerns

  • General questions

The Volunteer Tent near Field 1 is also the central hub for check-ins, supplies, and assistance.

🧃 Game Day Reminders

  • Clean up your team’s area before leaving, this allows us to continue to permit fields and play there.

  • Encourage/ remind parents to clean up after their kids as our volunteers have their own kids to clean up after.

  • Keep all bags and chairs off the touchline for referee visibility.

  • Encourage positive cheering! Let’s model good sportsmanship for our players.
