Game #2

Congratulations on another great game! Everyone did a great job and there looked to be much improvement in just a few weeks of playing together. I think many of us were skeptical on whether or not the weather would allow to get in a game last night, but other than some wind kicking up the dust, it was a pretty nice evening for baseball.

A couple of apologies are in order. I realized last night that an e-mail on Tuesday night or earlier in the day on Wednesday with a reminder of where the game is going to be played would probably be helpful and will plan on doing that in the future. I also must apologize for poor planning on my part to make sure that we had snacks after the game last night. I will plan on including the "treat volunteer" on the reminder e-mail prior to each game.

No Practice 5/27/12
Due to the Memorial Day Weekend and anticipated schedule conflicts, we will not be having a practice this next Sunday, May 27th.

Next game 5/30/12
Our next game will be at 6:30PM on Wednesday, May 30th on Groveland Field #1 (St. Clair & Prior). Since we will not be having practice this Sunday, please try to arrive as close to 6PM as possible so everyone can get some batting and throwing drills in before the game.

We'll play if at all possible. We play in a drizzle or light rain, or if it rained earlier but the fields are in reasonablecondition. If it is still pouring close to game time, or if you saw ducks swimming in the infield when you drove past, the game is likely cancelled. Don't assume games are cancelled unless conditions are obviously unsuitable. Wait for a call from your coach, check this web site or head to the fields to see if the game is on.
We will do our best to call, e-mail, and post to the website by 6PM on game day if the decision is made to cancel a game.
