Referee Training - Next class coming up!

North Park AYSO is hosting a Regional Basic Referee certification course (1-day) on Saturday March 26 from 7:30am-4:30pm.  This is a good time for coaches to get their referee certifications, if you don't already have one.  Being a referee makes you a better coach.

The Basic Referee Course will be on Saturday, March 26th from 7:30-4:30. The address is:

Revere Center (Linda Vista area)
6735 Gifford Way, Conference Room 1 (the double door faces the parking lot)
San Diego, CA 92111

There is plenty of parking.  The conference room is air-conditioned and we will do some work outdoors so dress comfortably.

Lunch (pizza) and water will be served.  The cost is $20 per participant, but FREE to North Park and Area R referee volunteers.

You must register on eayso so we can track numbers.  To register, go to  http://www.eayso.org/  and log in.  On the home page, click link for "Sign Up To Take A Class".  In the spot for Roster #, enter "201600938" and click "Search".  Select the bubble next to the course name and then click "Course signup". Finally, select the bubble next your name and then click "Add attendee to program roster" and that's it.

Please note that this course DOES NOT include Safe Haven, so candidates will have to take that part online and bring proof so we can sign off on the upgrade form.  To complete Safe Haven, go to http://www.aysotraining.org/ and enter your AYSO ID and Last Name.  Then under "Safe Haven", click on "START NOW".  Select the link: "Course MT02 - AYSO's Safe Haven".  Plan for about 30 minutes to get through the online training.

If you need to establish an AYSO ID (adult and youth), you'll need to go to http://www.eayso.org/ and click "Create an Account" and then choose "I am new to AYSO and want to volunteer".  Follow the instructions.  Once you complete the application, you will get issued an AYSO ID, which you can now use for the AYSO training website and also to register for the course.
